We are delighted to announce the appointment of two new key members of staff to our Accounts and Agency teams at our Newmarket Road offices in the city.
Ruth Dunn has joined as Client Accountant and is responsible for managing the day-to-day finances for the company’s client property portfolios. She looks after tenants and landlords funds, rents and property expenditures.
Ruth started working for Plasmon Plc, in Melbourn, where she stayed for three and a half years as an Accounts Assistant and qualified as an Accounting Technician. She then went travelling around Australia and New Zealand for five months where she hired a campervan, spent Christmas with the locals, visited many wineries, watched a lot of cricket, did a glacier walk, a sky dive and a bungee jump – all in all a busy few months!
Having got the travelling bug out of her system, Ruth returned to work locally for Carr & Bury in Bishop’s Stortford and then Napp Pharmaceuticals as Assistant Accountant before joining Januarys. Ruth, also a keen hockey player and athlete, hopes to purchase her first house in Royston soon.
Jo Harrison has recently taken up a newly created role as Senior Team Administrator. She will work with the Agency team providing sales, administrative back up and other general professional duties. She will look after the company’s marketing database and manage the property database as well as working on pre-sales, property searches and liaising with Januarys’ clients.
Jo started her working career far away in Johannesburg and then moved to London, where she worked for artist and producer Alan Parsons as his company and studio manager. She then joined Abbey Road Studios as PA to the Directors, to coordinate industry events including the BBC's Music Live and the Brits Awards Nominations. Jo moved on to work as sales and marketing manager for Firebird Ltd, a post production facility based in London before joining Whitfield Street Studios as their marketing manager. Jo has recently moved to Cambridge into a new home in Trumpington.
