CAMBRIDGE WATER COMPANYCambridgeProject ManagmentCambridge Water, the water supply company serving a wide population in and around Cambridge, wished to rationalise its property holdings to reflect the increased application of new technology in the industry and to maximise the efficiency of its use of premises.David Ward, Consultant with Januarys, interviewed key personnel to assess current and future operational needs and advised on the scope for disposals and conversions, followed by a financial viability study.David then project managed the appointment and assembly of a professional team of architects, surveyors, planners, accountants and tax advisors and over a three year period supervised and co-ordinated obtaining planning permission for redevelopment of the Company’s offices and yard in Rustat Road for housing and for the conversion of a redundant water treatment plant at Fulbourn Road to provide state of the art headquarters offices.
The sale of Rustat Road and other sites and completion of the new offices were achieved on budget and on time. Stephen Kay, Managing Director of Cambridge Water said “David Ward’s project management of our relocation exercise added value for the shareholders and customers of Cambridge Water”. |
