Fast Food Shop
June 2010
Fast Food takes on a whole new meaning as Januarys seals a deal within hours.
If proof were needed that even in these uncertain times, the right property in the right location with the right permissions will fly off the books, then you need look no further than Januarys experience with an A3 property in Burleigh Street.
Nick Muncey from Januarys takes up the fast moving story. “We were appointed to market a fish and chip outlet in an excellent location in a busy shopping precinct near the Grafton.
“We released the property onto the market at 10.00am, the phone rang an hour later and we had an inspection by the potential purchaser that afternoon and by 3.30pm we have agreed a sale.
“The lesson here is that A3 properties are always attractive to individual or family run businesses and when they are in popular locations with good potential for growth, they tend to be snapped up.
“We have any number of examples of this happening, but even we were surprised at the speed of this transaction.”
Although the property needs updating, it does have significant potential along with its A3 restaurant permission, the building also have a 2 bedroom self contained apartment which could be used by the new owners or sublet and two car parking spaces.
