Gordon teams up for EPCs

Consultant surveyors Januarys have teamed up with Commercial and Domestic Energy Assessor Gordon Williamson to provide an enhanced service for owners and landlords wishing to sell or let commercial premises.

Whilst the need for domestic Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) has been well documented as part of the government’s HIPs scheme, commercial EPCs have been much more under the radar. The fact remains, however, that since October last year, commercial EPCs have been required for the sale or letting of all properties.

 

A commercial EPC is a very different beast from its residential cousin and is generally a much more intensive affair. A will require access to all areas as well as a high level of documentation. 

 

As such, a commercial EPC can only be carried out by someone who is a specialist in their field. Gordon Williamson can provide reports on commercial properties to level 4; he and januays has an excellent understanding of the local market and what the requirements are.

 

Januarys EPCs are second to none in terms of the detail and recommendations. Mr Williamson does not use unqualified data gatherers or issue quick generic reports. He takes time to make a thorough inspection of the property before supplying good and relevant recommendations on how the building in question could be improved to enhance its grading.

 

MThe Recommendation Reportwill also indicate how much monetary benefit any improvements could bring in order to help clients judge their financial desirability.
