Our land development team has been strengthened by appointing Rob Harrison as a Director.
As a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and an APC assessor, Rob comes to the role with more than eleven years' experience in the property business and has spent time at Savills, Knight Frank and Cluttons.
Most recently he has been Development Land Director for John Martin and Associates. Here, he had responsibility for overseeing the development land department of both John Martin and its’ parent company King West. His role included strategic land identification and acquisition, development consultancy and valuations. In addition Rob worked with a variety of stakeholders to achieve land transactions and the delivery of residential development sites.
Rob’s successful career began during his time studying for his BSc in Land Management at Harper Adams University in Shropshire where he was involved in the sale of the Ashcombe Estate to Madonna and Guy Ritchie. The Estate, a Georgian Manor House is set in over 1,100 acres of land, and at one point was the home to the photographer and designer Cecil Beaton.
Away from work, Rob is married with two children. In his spare time he enjoys shooting and country pursuits, sailing and classic car restoration.
“Januarys is one of the major players in the Cambridge property market.” Says Rob, “Their involvement with projects such as the Berkeley Homes development on Newmarket Road, Eastern Gate, and Hamlet Road in Haverhill is proof of that. I am very excited by the challenge and the opportunity to help take Januarys forward.”
Managing Director Simon Dazeley said, “I am delighted that Rob has agreed to join us. He has packed an enormous amount in to a relatively short time, and as well as his extensive technical experience, he brings with him tremendous business development and profile raising skills. He has extensive knowledge of both the rural and urban property markets and will be a huge asset to Januarys. I am very much looking forward to working with him.”
